Standard Bank launched its first digital account origination platform to enable small businesses to open accounts fully online. The experience combined real-time verification, eligibility checks, and secure identity validation to remove the need for branch visits.

The problem

Opening a MyMoBiz account was slow and manual, relying on a “Call Me Back” process that took up to five days and required multiple documents, creating significant friction for small business customers.

The solution

A fully digital journey enabled instant account opening without document submission. Integrations with CIPC and Identifii streamlined verification, while carefully designed flows simplified complex eligibility and identity checks into a seamless experience.
